Former Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC, is a great supporter of Canberra’s Radio Reading service, 1RPH.

Sir Peter even volunteered as a morning newspaper reader at the station!

Radio 1RPH has also recorded an interview program with Sir Peter, which is available as a podcast on their website.

Radio 1RPH was privileged to have Sir Peter and Lady Cosgrove attend their recent annual fundraising dinner at the Royal Canberra Golf Club.

These honoured guests joined 140 other Radio Reading supporters to raise $7000 in much needed funding for the station.

Sir Peter’s fantastic speech about his interest in radio, especially community radio, was greatly enjoyed by all present.
