1RPH Canberra broadcasts information needed by people with a print disability to help overcome the disadvantage they experience in not being able to read printed material.
Broadcasting from studios located on the Barton Highway in Gunghalin, ACT, skilled volunteer readers and administrative supporters turn print into sound for people with a print disability. They provide a broad range of detailed information available in print but not available on other radio or television stations.
1RPH Canberra broadcasts daily from 7.00am until late into the evening, with the BBC World Service broadcasting overnight.
