6RPH Perth – Information Radio – is a unique radio reading service designed to meet the daily needs of people with a print disability in the greater Perth metropolitan community.
A volunteer based organisation, Information Radio reads from high turnover printed material such as matronal. state and local newspapers, magazines and journals as well as books and government information on a daily basis.
The organisation believes that a necessary part of effective participation is equitable access to diverse sources of information and opinion.
6RPH Perth Information Radio broadcasts from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm daily and relays the BBC World Service overnight. The 6RPH Perth broadcasts can also be heard on radio channel 25 of the Optus Aurora satellite.
