RPH Sydney 1224 AM + 100.5 FM

2RPH Sydney broadcasts from purpose-built studios in the heart of Glebe at the St. Helens Community Centre.

The original concept was to assist vision impaired, elderly and infirm people. Although that remains the main focus of the station’s work, there are now many other people with a print disability who benefit fro the service, including English as a second-language teachers who instruct their students to tune in and follow the printed word as it is broadcast.

Over 200 volunteers prepare, present and produce on-air programs. Readers and announcers do not edit what they read or make any comments, presenting the printed word as it is written.

2RPH Sydney broadcasts from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm daily and relays the BBC World service overnight.

RPH Newcastle 100.5 FM

2RPH Newcastle is an extended service of 2RPH Sydney and broadcasts from a transmitter at Mount Sugarloaf in the Lower Hunter Valley. RPH Newcastle broadcasts readings from the Newcastle Herald Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 11.00 a.m. and on Saturdays from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m.

RPH Albury 101.7 FM

This southern New South Wales service is part of the RPH services offered by Vision Australia. RPH Albury can be heard throughout the border towns of Albury and Wodonga.

The service provides local news, information and entertainment for people who are unable to read the standard printed word.

Broadcast from Vision Australia’s studios daily from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm they take a relay of the BBC World Service overnight.

2MCE Bathurst 92.3 FM & Orange 94.7 FM

Talking Newspapers
Mon – Fri 12.00 – 1.00 p.m.

2MCE provides a Talking Newspaper Service in the Central Western NSW Community covering the major areas of Bathurst, Orange, Blayney, Molong and surrounding districts.

The production and broadcast of Talking Newpapers is carried out by a dedicated group of volunteers each week. Designed to assist local residents with with a vision impairments, the aged, people with reading disabilities and those who don’t have regular access to daily newspapers.

2MCE has provided this service since 1978 and is proud to be able to continue this valuable service. they often receive good feedback from listeners who appreciate the service.
