Secondary Research to Determine the Size of the National Print Disabled Audience |

In May 2002 RPH Australia commissioned Market Equity Pty Ltd to conduct this research project to re-determine the scope and size of Australia’s print disabled population - the RPH target audience.
The only previous research of this nature was conducted by the (then) Department of Communications in 1985. Given the limitations of available data and statistics, they estimated the size of the primary audience (people
with a print disability) to be between 10-20% of the Australian population at that time.
In order to plan for the expansion of RPH services into non metropolitan areas, this project was seen as high priority by the RPH Australia Board during its strategic planning process during late 2001.
